Languages That Are "Secretly" Different Languages
"A language is a dialect with and army and a navy." -Unknown

Footnotes and remarks:
-I made a correction and added Thai
-I divided Arabic this way based on native speakers understanding of their language. It seems that generally speakers from the Maghreb understand each other, and Mashriqi understand each other, while Egyptian is understood by everyone, being the bridge of Arabic. Sudanese is apparently its own thing.
-I am worried that some of the Italian dialects might be more than the map suggests. Perhaps some should merge?
-Only languages big enough to occupy the majority of at least one national subdivision show. Huizhou for example does not because it is a minority language in all areas where it is spoken.
